Summer is Busy!

Hello!  We have been super busy since summer hit!  We put Sam in Soccer! He loves it which I knew he would!  He looks so grown up!
Then we put Belle in Ballet/Tap.  She had her first class this week! She also loves it!  Which we knew she would! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Handmade-for-Henley/166981450119743?fref=ts

So I've decided to do a craft show in November at our church so I'm starting to get some inventory started.  I have about 20 washcloths and just started on some headscarves. It's a little nerve wracking to be making all of this inventory and hoping they will sell!  I'll post some pics when I get some more inventory done.

I also just finished some Halloween hats for a giveaway winner!  I love them.  They turned out so cute!

I also am doing stocking for my very talented SIL who is a graphic artist.  She has done all of my beatuful logo images!  I don't know what I would have done with out her!  This is her husbands.
Here is her sons stocking I made last year.

My daughters bday is coming up soon and have received some super cute items for her birthday from some shops!  I got her a gumdrop necklace and foot jewelery all in pink and crystal.     I'll try to post again this weekend or sometime soon!  The kids and I are on our way to the park and a photographer is meeting me there to get a bag of goodies!  Have a great day!

Giveaways and New Items

Hello, It's been a while.  My giveaway has been over for a while but I'm still knee deep in some more.  At this time all of the giveaways I'm participating in have been for a 40% off coupon for one item. I'm in one at FreshofftheHook https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.530599483671574.1073741838.384934888238035&type=3 , Labella Vita Photography https://www.facebook.com/LBVfoto?fref=ts  I'm  joining a few more soon and I'll post those links as well.

So I've seen these flip flops and decided to make a pair of my own.  I had some spare yarn and I did just one.  Let me know what you think. I took a pic of it on my foot too so you could see what it looks like.

I also got these beautiful pictures of my new Pixie Princess Hat from Beata Chipman Photography!  They are also listed in my shop.  https://www.etsy.com/listing/152569336/pixie-princess-hat-custom-order-size?ref=shop_home_active

I also just listed my Chunky Cabled Bootcuffs pattern and will be soon listing them as well.  https://www.etsy.com/listing/152571917/pattern-chunky-cabled-boot-cuffs-knit?ref=shop_home_active

Free Pattern - Knit Car Seat Shoulder Strap Cover Pattern

My giveaway is over and I hope everyone has now collected their winnings!   It was a lot of fun!  Thank you all for joining me and making it wonderful!

So I've decided that my carseat shoulder straps should be available for free!  So here is the pattern.  They are ridiculously easy and super fast!   The picture below is of my daughter so you can see how they work. I've changed them a bit since then but it's still the same concept.  The ones you see on her carseat are actually wip stitched on instead of buttoned.  I now put buttons on them.  I've used these covers since my son was a baby so about 6 years!  I love them.  I did have one person worry about them not making the carseat work properly.  I've never had that problem.  The yarn I usually use is Caron or another super soft (4 worsted weight yarn) so it's not thick and chunky.  These just keep the straps from leaving that line on your babies neck.  I hated that when my son was little so this is what I came up with.  (If you are interested in a finished pair they are available in my Etsy Shop for $10.  Here's the link.  https://www.etsy.com/shop/SugarBabyKnits?section_id=12885619)
Knit Car Seat Shoulder Strap Cover Pattern
Use whatever yarn you want. Something super soft is best!  I love to use Caron or baby yarn.

Needle size 3
No gauge is needed!
Need 6 small buttons
Tapestry Needle

Need to know ribbing, Purl, Knit

CO 26 sts
Purl 2 knit 2 across until piece measures 6 inches (or desired length).
Keep in the rib pattern when you bind off.

Arrange cover so ribbing is vertical to belt strap.  Attach a button at the top corner, middle and bottom corner (2 buttons work too).  Fold in half and push button thru a stitch.  I don't make button holes because I find it holds better, just push buttons thru stitches.
This is what the finished product looks like once you're done.  If you're worried about button holes don't be!  The yarn will stretch just grab a button that fits thru the yarn!   Below are pictures of both 2 buttons and 3 buttons!

I hope you enjoy this pattern as much as I do!  I would love to see pics of you're finished covers!
Finished items may be sold but please refer back to me as the patterns author and include a link to my shop in your listing- Thank  You!  Please do not resell this pattern that is available for free.
